Money should be a tool that gives you confidence, security, and freedom—not a source of stress. But for many people, finances feel overwhelming, complex, and out of reach. That’s why I became a financial planner: to change that narrative and empower people to take control of their money with clear, accessible advice.
I believe that everyone deserves financial guidance, not just the wealthy or financially savvy. And for women, the stakes are even higher. The Gender Pension Gap means many women retire with far less than men, and I’ve made it my mission to change that—one woman at a time if I have to!
For me, financial planning isn’t just about numbers; it’s about giving people the knowledge and confidence to make their money work for them, so they can live the life they want.
My favourite part of working with clients is being alongside them for their entire financial journey. It’s not just about setting up a plan and walking away—it’s about building a trusted, one-to-one relationship and seeing their confidence around money grow before my eyes.
There’s nothing better than watching someone go from feeling uncertain and overwhelmed to making empowered financial decisions with clarity and confidence. And it’s not just about mindset—the difference is financial too. Seeing the real impact on their ability to achieve their hopes and dreams for the future is incredibly rewarding.
If you’re just starting your financial journey, these three key areas (the 3 ‘P’s will set you up for long-term success:
Every client I work with has their own success story, and I honestly couldn’t pick just one! Success looks different for everyone—whether it’s helping someone retire earlier than they ever thought possible, saving them a significant amount of money, or simply giving them the confidence to take control of their finances.
For many, the biggest transformation isn’t just financial—it’s emotional. Money can be a huge source of stress, and being able to lift that burden, providing clarity and peace of mind, is just as important as the numbers. Seeing the relief and confidence on my clients’ faces when they realise they have a solid plan in place is what makes my job so rewarding.
Outside of work, my three teenagers, two labradors, and my husband keep me busy! We love going for walks in the woods and exploring the nature reserve right behind our home—nothing beats a bit of time outdoors to recharge.
I’m also passionate about mentoring new and trainee Financial Advisers who are just starting out on their own business journeys. Helping others grow and succeed in this industry is something I truly enjoy and feel really proud of.
One of my favourite quotes is the Chinese proverb, "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." It’s a great reminder that starting your financial journey early is ideal, but it’s never too late to begin.
I also live by a personal motto: "You’ve worked hard for your money, so it’s essential to make it work hard for you." It’s about ensuring your money is working as hard as you do to help you achieve your goals and dreams.
And I always remind myself and my clients: "You can't predict the future, but you can plan for it." As a financial planner, this is exactly what I do—helping people make a solid plan for whatever life throws their way.
Financial planning isn’t just about wealth; it’s about creating security, freedom, and choices. If you’re ready to take control of your finances and start planning for the future, I’d love to help.
